The course will be dedicated to the study and improvement of the instrument, to the study of works of classical and/or contemporary repertoire. Students will work on one or two works of their choice.

The workshops have the option of free accommodation (in shared rooms and shared bathrooms, separated by gender) and free meals (lunch and dinner, vegan included). Both of these options should be requested in the form.

Biography / Biografía
Música versátil y curiosa, Marie Schreer ha actuado en toda Europa, Sudamérica y Asia y ha participado en decenas de discos de una amplia gama de géneros. Como solista y músico de cámara, le han escrito más de treinta obras nuevas y ha colaborado con músicos de la talla de John Williams (guitarra), Evan Parker, Jonny Greenwood y Stewart Copeland. Marie aparece regularmente con The Riot Ensemble y es cofundadora del dúo de violines Mainly Two, así como de The Guastalla Quartet, con el que ha sido galardonada con el premio al mejor álbum en los All Party Parliamentary Jazz Awards de 2020. Anteriormente fue violín subprincipal de la Royal Northern Sinfonia y está muy solicitada como intérprete principal invitada en orquestas de todo el Reino Unido.
Marie también es cofundadora del sello discográfico Turquoise Coconut, que publica música nueva de todo tipo, comisaría dos series de colaboración y dirige un podcast.
A versatile and curious musician, Marie Schreer has performed throughout Europe, South America and Asia and is featured on dozens of records from across a broad range of genres. As soloist and chamber musician, she has had over thirty new works written for her and has collaborated with the likes of John Williams (guitar), Evan Parker, Jonny Greenwood and Stewart Copeland. Marie regularly appears with The Riot Ensemble and co-founded violin duo Mainly Two as well as The Guastalla Quartet, with whom she has been awarded ‘Best Album’ at the 2020 All Party Parliamentary Jazz Awards. She was previously sub-principal violin of Royal Northern Sinfonia and is in high demand as a guest principal player with orchestras throughout the UK.
Marie also co-founded record label Turquoise Coconut which releases new music of all kinds, curates two collaboration series and runs a podcast.
